In 1980, Joe and Nancy Green moved to Eden and started their ranch for exotic deer, antelope, and venison production. Their goal of introducing exotic game ranching to Concho County was realized. Joe and Nancy are known in the industry as being one of the original pioneers of exotic game ranching in Texas.
Ban and Debra Green now operate Comanche Spring Game Ranch. Ban was born and raised in Eden, and Debra in Odessa; they are true natives of West Texas. Ban and Debra take great pride in the ranch and are both fully engaged in maintaining the prestigious reputation and notability that Comanche Spring is known for.
The vast landscapes of Comanche Spring Game Ranch hold a rich historical tapestry, once serving as the ancestral home to the Comanche Indians. These resilient people forged a deep connection with the land, drawing sustenance and spiritual inspiration from its diverse terrain. The echoes of their nomadic traditions and harmonious coexistence with nature still linger in the whispers of the wind and the rustle of the grass, telling a compelling tale of a time when the land was not just a resource but a sacred home for the Comanche people. As you traverse the Pecan Mott, remnants of their presence endure, and keen observers may still uncover arrowheads skillfully crafted by the hands of the Comanches.
